About this site

Most financial content tells you what happened to a stock. I'm more interested in why — the psychology, the narrative shifts, and the investor behavior that moves a price long before the fundamentals catch up.

That's the lens I bring to every piece I write: less spreadsheet, more story. Because markets aren't just driven by earnings reports — they're driven by fear, conviction, momentum, and the stories investors tell themselves about what a company means.

Who I Am

I'm a financial writer and market analyst covering public companies for an investor audience — earnings recaps, sector deep-dives, thematic pitches, and long-form features that go beyond the headline numbers.

Before I was writing about markets, I worked in marketing — which is probably why I can't help but see every stock story as a brand story. What is this company telling the market about itself? Does the market believe it? And where's the gap between the pitch and the reality?

I contribute regularly for MarketBeat. You'll also find my work on StockEarnings.com. In the past, I've written for InvestorPlace. I regularly share analysis on LinkedIn, X, and Substack.

Why "Story Behind the Stock"

I grew up a Reebok kid in a Nike world. That kind of underdog instinct never really leaves you — it shows up now in how I read a market. I'm drawn to the tension in a name: the neglected value play, the beaten-down momentum stock, the company everyone's written off that's quietly turning a corner. The consensus narrative is often right. But it's rarely the whole story, and the gap between the two is usually where the opportunity — or the risk — actually lives.

I cover a wide range of sectors — AI infrastructure, biotech, energy, consumer and retail, and more — but the throughline is always the same: balanced, behavior-aware analysis that respects your intelligence and doesn't oversimplify the bull or bear case just to make a cleaner headline.

What You'll Find Here

  • Free articles and analysis on earnings, sector trends, and market narratives as they develop
  • Special Reports — deeper, more deliberate dives into a single thesis, reserved for paid subscribers
  • Video breakdowns of the stories and stocks I think deserve a closer look

A Note on Rigor

Every piece I publish is fact-checked against primary sources — filings, transcripts, verified analyst commentary — before it goes out. I'd rather be slow and right than fast and wrong. If you're going to make decisions with real money based on what you read here, that accuracy has to be non-negotiable.

Let's Connect

I'm most active on [LinkedIn / X / Substack, where I post shorter takes between longer pieces. If there's a stock or a story you think deserves a closer look, I'd love to hear about it..
